ABOUT JEFF FELDMAN

PERSONAL-

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I learned from an early age that if I ever wanted anything I was going to have to fight for it. At a very young age I was diagnosed with a severe speech problem, they said I would never talk. My mom was instrumental in my fight to speak as she was not going to allow me to fail. After spending everyday in speech therapy from 4-16 years of age, I personally decided to finish the job myself and perfect my ability to speak. This fight brought me to God and made me believe that with God, all things are possible. It was that fight in me along with God which allowed me to battle Cancer for 2 years and survive.

My fighting attitude was the fuel for me to follow my dreams always. As a kid, I always dreamt of living in the sunshine without snow. My dreams have taken me to live in places like Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Laguna Beach. Along the way, I met my wife Natalie who has been my everything, including getting baptized together this year. We aren’t blessed to have children, but we do have the love of our lives, Boca. Even though I don’t have children, I will fight for your children and all children. Over the past few years, we knew we were going to have to leave California, so looked all over and decided Franklin was going to be home. Moving here has been the most wonderful decision for us as we have made amazing friends. People ask all the time, what brought you to Franklin, that’s easy- Jesus and Freedom. I believe very strongly in living a Judeo-Christian life everyday.

I believe very strongly in living a Judeo-Christian life.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE-

I was fortunate at a young age to be given the opportunity to run 2 small companies and prove myself which led me to sales and management in the Tech industry during the dot.com era. After nearly a decade, I decided to follow my entrepreneur dreams and become a Realtor and help people fulfill their biggest dreams. While being a Realtor was so fulfilling, in 2007 I decided to pursue new dreams and start a social media company. Being in social media really brought out the need for mental health, so I went to school and became a therapist. Being a therapist was probably one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life as I got to help people. My psychology background has always been a key in reading and understanding people, whether it be in business, public service, negotiations, family or friends. In the last decade, I’ve been a managing partner/owner in several businesses including restaurants, apparel printing, aerospace and a water company.

PUBLIC SERVICE-

I’ve been in public service in some capacity for almost 20 years. When I was young, I wanted to run for congress but was told I would never make it because I’m too Honest and not corruptible. So I turned to local government as local affects you every day of your life. From running my HOA 20 years ago to running for Alderman, there is always something new to learn. My first time I ran for office was in 2010 and to my surprise I won. How you ask, just being me. I’ve continued that always from Mid City City Council in LA to Board of Building Appeals to Vice Chairman of the View Restoration Committee where I learned how important it is to really listen and be a critical thinker as I made law.

In addition to being a public servant, I’ve also participated in leadership academy’s in the city’s I’ve lived in. Currently I am in the Franklin Citizens Government Academy. I also won the sharp shooter award when I went through the Laguna Beach Citizens Police Academy.
